THE SILVER LINING


We cannot deny that every one of us is now affected by the spread of COVID-19 in one way or the other. The whole country is under lockdown. As a matter of fact, most of the other nations are too. We, the social animals, cannot go social now, at least not physically. Our daily routines are disrupted. Everybody is scared because things are not under control. Rumors are spreading everywhere. This has caused fear in our minds too. No doubt the dense clouds of COVID-19 have surely put us in darkness.

But you know what they say; every dark cloud has a silver lining.

Our carbon emission is at an all-time low. The air is cleaner. Other animals are so relieved and are like; what is going on..!!. Did humans just vanish from the earth.

For most of the kids, they are happy that their exams are canceled. I mean who would have thought of moving to the next grade without any exams. If I was a child now, then nothing else would have brought me more happiness. Kids, who wished to spend more time with their parents, are now happier than ever.

For us, those who wished to work from home, this probably is the longest we will ever get. People who stress on physical meetings are now using e-mode and feeling it is convenient too. We always thought shopping malls are the best place to unwind. Now we realize there is no place like home.

Families are together, cooking at home is back. Husbands are lending a hand in household works. Children are happy and families are talking to each other again. Just a couple of months ago, who thought all of this would happen.

Every time we can’t have success in battle. Sometimes we may not even have suitable weapons to attack. To avoid the wrath, we should do what is necessary and stay calm. When the dust is settled, things will be better.

For now, stay at home, take all the necessary precautions and help where you can. Take care.

Wherever Life Plants You, Bloom With Grace

A few days back I left my office at about 6 o'clock in the evening and I was heading towards the parking. On my way, I noticed a plant called Tacoma with beautiful yellow flowers. I immediately took out my phone and took the above picture. This plant with beautiful flowers was very pleasing to the eyes. This plant was not planted there on purpose. Yet somehow it managed to find enough soil, water, and nutrients to grow itself. What are the odds that it grows up in such a tiny gap between the concrete pavers and a brick wall?  This plant immediately seeded a thought in my mind.  We often complain in our lives about not being in a place we desire or not getting things we wish for. Some even grieve throughout their life failing to realize that the life they had could have been lived better had they focused on different things. THE CONSTANT URGE TO IMPRESS OTHERS

A friend of mine bought an expensive SUV last year. At the time, I had asked him whether it was really necessary for him to spend so much on a car that he wouldn’t use that often. For which he said that everybody would be so impressed by his expensive SUV. For a year or so, all his posts on social media were filled up the pictures of the car at different places.   A year later now, when   I asked him about his car, he said that the maintenance and running costs are very expensive and that he is regretting his decision of buying an SUV. It has become a liability in his life.
